Rasoul Sharifian | EnCoV-SURGAR

About Me

I am an R&D and Technology Transfer Engineer at SurgAR, working in close collaboration with EnCoV and CHU Clermont-Ferrand to translate computer-vision research into surgical applications.

I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Vision, completed through a CIFRE industrial research programme under the supervision of Professor Adrien Bartoli and Dr. Navid Rabbani. My research focuses on 3D reconstruction, deformable registration, differentiable physics, and augmented reality for minimally invasive surgery. Before my Ph.D., I worked as a research engineer at EnCoV, Institut Pascal (UCA/CNRS), and on X-ray imaging systems for industrial inspection and radiotherapy treatment planning. Outside research, I have several years of experience as a table-tennis player and coach.
